Location: Sisimiut, Greenland
Brief description: In 2008, a solar hot water and
space heating system for the Knud Rasmussen folk high school in
Sisimiut, was inaugurated. The system is a combination of evacuated
tube collectors (68m2) and flat plate solar collectors (22,5 m2). By
erecting the collectors vertically on the roof, the solar radiation can
be utilized from all directions. The system is the first of its kind
and the largest solar energy system in Greenland. See the full project at the Knowledge Hub
